La Coalición Minoritaria de Salud del Condado de Marion y la Iglesia Luterana Emaus tendrán una Feria de Salud “Viviendo Con Un Corazón Saludable” para la comunidad en los gimnasios de la Iglesia Luterana Emaus, situada en el 1224 Laurel Street cerca del Fountain Square.
Los participantes se beneficiarán de servicios de salud gratis y se podrán inscribir para seminarios de cómo cocinar y comer saludablemente y hacer ejercicios. Varias organizaciones comunitarias estarán presentes compartiendo información de importantes programas de salud. ¡Aperitivos y refrescos serán servidos! ¡Habrán actividades para los niños!

A new ministry is born in mission at Emmaus. Guitar classes are being offered every Saturday from 10:00 AM to NOON in the gym. Come and join us as we praise the Lord in music!

Instalacion dell nuevo diacono Juan Diego Luna 7 de septiembre
Un obrero Latino mas en nuestras misiones en Indiana. Este pasado 7 de septiembre tuvimos la instalacion del nuevo diacono Juan Diego Luna. Las parroquias de San Pablo en Columbus y El Redentor en Seymour se llenaron de gozo y alegria con su nuevo pastor a tiempo completo. El Rvdo. Samuel Ruiz condujo la instalacion. Los Pastores Bauman y Currao de Columbus y Seymour respectivamente fueron testigos del evento. El Mariachi Nacional amenizo el servicio y convivio
A new Hispanic worker in God's kingdom
Deacon Juan Diego Luna was installed Sept. 9 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Seymour, IN. He will serve LaPaz de Christo Hispanic mission at Redeemer and at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Columbus, IN. The installation was conducted by the Rev. Samuel Ruiz, along with Pastor Doug Bauman from Columbus and Pastor Curraro from Seymour. A dinner followed the service with entertainment provided by El Mariachi Nacional.
Planning for a new ALL NATIONS LUTHERAN CHURCH
About 50 Latino and 65 English speaking Christians (including a mariachi band!) came together Aug. 3, 2008 in the Emmaus gymnasium to discuss the formation of a new ALL NATIONS LUTHERAN CHURCH within the Indiana District.
Pastor Ruiz Reports:
It was really a good time and experience, working together with Emmaus and Carmel Lutheran members. Thank you, to Pastor Mike Feuer for his wonderful leadership in this matter.
The most important thing after all is, we won a soul to the Lord.
One young man from the neighborhood was touched by the Spirit. I said it in this way, because it is true, God did everything. This young man before leaving asked me for one Bible. I gave him a Bible with a Small Cathechism, I am in conversation with him. He asked me about how much was the Bible. I told him to give an offering. He did it. He was touched by the fellowship we gotten with all American people. God is working, to Him the glory. Amen.
Thank you also, the Youth Ministry of Carmel Lutheran Church, their leaders and pastors, to support such a wonderful weekend with hard work in the new playground and wonderful fellowship on Sunday. I can tell you, that is it the best way to build bridges among Carmel and Indianapolis; among Indianapolis and beyond, Samaria and the rest of the world. Amen.
The fellowship was in such a spirit; people did not want to leave, after all.
