Lutheran Multicultural Mission

Lutheran Multicultural Mission (LMM) is the adopted public name for the Federation of Lutheran Churches of Greater Indianapolis, Inc.

LMM endeavors to unite central Indiana LC-MS members in proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and peace to all people, but especially to recent immigrants to the United States.

The Federation of Lutheran Churches is an association of LC-MS congregations in central Indiana that organized as a group in the 1920’s for mission outreach. For many years it ministered to the needy through a chaplaincy program.

The mission focus changed to Hispanic ministry in 2001 with the call to the Rev. Samuel Ruiz. The Jesus de Galilea mission group in Indianapolis and the LaPaz de Christo cmission groups in Columbus and Seymour are reaching out to the estimated 100,000 recent Hispanic immigrants to central Indiana.

LMM is also seeking to support ministry to other ethnic groups  moving into central Indiana. This currently includes India Missions under the Rev. Udhay Raji and Midwest Chinese Ministries under the Rev. Edmund Lim.
