Neighborhood Playground Project Taking Shape

 

Emmaus members and dozens of volunteers from Carmel Lutheran Church have been working for the past two months to create a new neighborhood playground facility at the corner of Orange and Linden Streets.

 

Two old residences on that corner were purchased and demolished with funds from the Emmaus Endowment Fund. The graders moved in to prepare the ground. New playground equipment, donated by Carmel Lutheran, is now being erected.

 

Workdays on the project are planned. (There is still a lot to do!) Call the church office at 632-1486 if you can lend a hand.
