A Brief History Of
Emmaus Lutheran School
Since 1904, Emmaus Lutheran School has been offering "Quality Christian Education - For Today And Tomorrow" to Emmaus members, non-members, and the Indianapolis community.
Emmaus Lutheran School, an accredited educational institution, offers before and after school (6am to 6pm) day care, 3 and 4 year old pre-school, 5 year old kindergarten, and grades One through Eight - all at affordable tuition rates. Emmaus admits students of any race, color, religion, or ethnic origin. Our secure facilities, limited class size, strong homework policy, and active involvement with parents provides an excellent traditional learning environment for our students. Our qualified and dedicated teaching staff (with over 180 years of combined experience, over 240 if you include those serving at Lutheran High School Of Indianapolis) recognizes and teaches the basic subjects in ways to ground the student in the qualities needed to compete in tomorrow's competitive society. In addition to the basics, students will get the best in daily moral Christian teachings, including a Wednesday morning (8:30am) chapel service that is open to the public. Besides being noted for our high academic standards, Emmaus Lutheran School has been recognized as having one of the strongest physical education and sports programs among private schools for both boys and girls. And there are classes in computers, music, and art; and an annual trip to places like Washington, St. Louis, and Chicago. Oh, and don't forget those great hot lunches!
Located in the Historic Fountain Square area, Emmaus Lutheran School is easy to reach from all parts of the city - and worth the trip. Call 317-632-1486 for more information, to speak
